Our Primary Services
About My Father’s Assistance Program
This program will provide financial assistance to single parents, homeless persons, retirees, families in transition, under-employed, and unemployed households, grandparents raising grandchildren and others in need. Each case will be reviewed on an individual basis to ascertain that adequate funding is being dispersed. Another component of this assistance program is to provide transportation to the elderly.
My Father’s Storehouse
This program will provide a food bank/pantry to house a continuous stock of canned goods and non-perishable items, clothing, shoes, and household items to disperse to distressed families throughout the year.
My Father’s Resting Place
This program will include a temporary housing facility with up to twelve rooms for persons and or families who have been displaced from their homes due to fires, natural disasters, unemployment, and for other reasons that may apply.
Empowerment and Equipping Center
This program will offer after-school sessions to provide enrichment activities in english, math, reading, science, and writing. Students will participate in educational and recreational field trips mainly during the summer. Some Saturday sessions will be available to parents for GED preparation. AMFBI also sponsors back to school jamborees in collaboration with neighborhood community centers where free backpacks, school supplies, clothes, and shoes are provided while supplies last. We will also provide health screenings and engage students in a wellness program that promotes healthy nutrition.
